Purpose:

LEAD KY believes youth and families are experts in their own lives, and are assets that should be included at all levels of care and planning that happen in Kentucky’s System of Care. LEAD KY believes that bringing forth the authentic and transparent voices of youth and families in a supportive environment will result in true and sustainable change for the betterment of all partners and the system as a whole. By allowing youth and families to drive our work, our initiatives will be informed, relevant, and serve as models for all partners within the System of Care for engaging with youth and families at all levels.

Goals:

• Long-term Goal: Kentucky will be a family and youth-driven System of Care
• Short-term Goal: All State Interagency Council (SIAC) member agencies and Regional Interagency Councils (RIAC) member agencies will have policies, programs, and practices that are family and youth-driven
